Why I liked this title:
Have you ever had a "clown" in your class, someone who does things that make everyone laugh and which upset the teacher? Lucas Cott is a third-grader who fits this description. He has good intentions but tries his teacher's patience on a daily basis as he gets his head stuck in a chair during an assembly, brings his whole yard's autumn leaves to school and spills them in the classroom, or has pencil races on his desk that lead to classroom chaos! Lucas just can't resist a chance to get a laugh and some attention. When his class play needs someone to step up to save the day, the question is whether Lucas can do what is needed. The school year ends with the teacher's letter home offering an opinion of Lucas that that surprises both him and his mother.

What a fun story! We all have had a class clown in our class. This book gives the reader a look at what life is like for a class clown. I found myself laughing out loud while reading this book.
