Why I liked this title:

Have you ever had a teacher that seems to be "goofing off" and lets the class do whatever they want? Mr. Larson, in The Landry News, is like that and is Cara Landry's fifth grade teacher. When Cara publishes a newspaper that features an editorial about Mr. Larson's teaching failure, she starts a series of events that could get Mr. Larson fired for a very different reason! The newspaper grows into a class project. The principal wants to use one article as an excuse to fire Mr. Larson and the class becomes involved in a First Amendment first before the school board. If you like stories where kids stand up for their beliefs you'll like this book.

I am a big fan of Andrew Clements' books and he didn't disappoint me with this book. Again using the school setting, the reader is introduced to a teacher that seems to be goofing off and a young girl, Cara, who is troubled by her family situation so she has some major anger issues. Together, the two come together to break down some barriers and even fight for their Constitutional rights.
