Why I liked this title:
Nick Allen has always been a master at wasting class time. You know the drill: ask your teacher a complicated question five minutes before the bell rings, so that she forgets to give the homework assignment. It has never failed - until now. This year, Nick's fifth grade teacher is tough, word-loving Mrs. Granger, and Mrs. Granger is on to him. When he tries his usual last-minute question all he gets is an extra homework assignment! Furious, Nick refuses to be outfoxed by a mere teacher! Pick up Frindle and find out about the hilarious scheme he devises to show Mrs. Granger who's boss - and how it backfires.
