Why I liked this title:
One day while cleaning a closet, 13-year-old Heidi discovers an old camera with film inside. When the photos are developed, Heidi sees her young, pregnant mother at Hilltop Home for the Disabled in Liberty, New York. This prompts Heidi to leave her Reno home and her mentally impaired mother to head off on a cross-country bus trip in search of the mystery of who she is, where she came from, and who her father is. I really liked this book. I wanted to keep reading to find out about Heidi and her mom. There are some sad moments in the book so you might need a box of tissue nearby.
