Why I liked this title:

It's hard enough to do a science project, but things get even more complicated when Julia Song and her best friend Patrick decide to make a science project for their "Wiggle Club." Julia's family is the only Korean family in her Illinois town and she doesn't want to raise silkworms, which Patrick thinks would be a great project, because it's not American enough. Also, the only thing silkworms eat are fresh Mulberry leaves. Have you ever tried to find a Mulberry tree in Illinois? Julia is a character that even talks back to the author between the chapters if she doesn't like how the story is developing. Julia learns a great deal about her family and her history through a project that she starts out hating.

This title is also available on compact disc.
