Why I liked this title:

This book is a family favorite. I would read a couple of chapters each night to my kids when they were young. Mr. Coville has a way of making magic fun and his books are our favorites. This book is also a winner of the 2003 Voice of Youth Award at Skokie Public Library. It is about a boy named Jeremy and a magic shop that just appears in his neighborhood; a strange and wonderful place. Mr. Elives, the proprieter of the store, sells him something for a quarter. What is it? Jeremy thought it was a beautiful polished marble but no, it's a dragon's egg. And with it instructions on how to hatch it. Taking care of a dragon takes a lot of responsibility. Can Jeremy keep the dragon secret from his family, the girl that wants to kiss him and still win the art contest at his school? And who is the strange librarian that gives him a book on dragons to read? This book is part of the Magic Shop series; a most enjoyable series. I highly recommend it!
