Why I liked this title:

At the beginning of the school year, 8th grade appears to be the perfect year for Steven. He has made it into the All-City Jazz Band as their drummer. Everything changes when Steven's little brother, Jeffrey, is diagnosed with cancer. Steven wonders how this can be happening to his family. Steven's mother becomes consumed with Jeffrey's treatment and his dad throws himself into his job leaving Steven feeling abandoned and alone. He stops doing his homework and drowns himself in drumming. Will his family make it through this nightmare? This book will make you laugh and cry. I can't recommend it highly enough.
