Why I liked this title:

This book has something for everyone. There are some very funny parts and there are parts that will make you cry. Thirteen-year-old Sal sets off on a cross-country journey with her grandparents. The purpose of Sal's trip is to retrace the route her mother took when she left her family over a year ago and to ultimately end up in the place where her mother disappeared. Sal hopes to bring her mother back home. During the journey, Sal tells her grandparents about her best friend, Phoebe Winterbottom, and Phoebe's crazy life. The two stories are woven together to create a book that is hard to put down.
