Why I liked this title:

“Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood. If you’re reading this because you think you might want to be one, close this book right now.” This is how 12-year-old Percy Jackson begins his amazing, rollicking, and very funny tale. Percy has always known he's not quite a normal kid. He's been kicked out of more schools than he can count! He thinks this is because he has ADHD. But does ADHD give you the ability to make your algebra teacher vanish into thin air? It turns out that Percy is a half-blood, a child of a mortal woman and a Greek God. Clearly, he needs some guidance-- especially when he discovers that ancient monsters are trying to hunt him down! If you are in the market for fantasy that is thrilling and hysterically funny at the same time, give yourself a treat and pick up The Lightning Thief!
