Why I liked this title:

Twelve-year-old Dani runs away from home, determined to hike the length of the Appalachian Trail. Why shouldn't she be able to do it? Her parents were both hikers. She was even named after a mountain at the north end of the trail. Dani has powerful reasons for wanting to run away and lose herself in the Appalachians: her beloved brother has died, her parents have split up, and her father has remarried a woman Dani can't stand.
