Why I liked this title:

If you love great adventure stories, pick up this one! Eleven-year-old Michael's parents realize their life-long dream by buying a yacht with their savings and sailing around the world. One night in the South Pacific while his parents sleep, Michael and the family's dog Stella are swept overboard. The next morning, he finds himself with Stella on the beach of a remote island, with no memory of how he got there. The island seems uninhabited and uninhabitable: unbearably hot, full of thick, choking jungle and swarms of mosquitoes, with no sign of fresh water or food. Then Michael discovers that he is not alone. Try this wonderful book and find out who is sharing the island with Michael.
