Why I liked this title:
The Schwa Was Here is such a good book that I read it in one sitting! And I laughed all the way through it! It's a very unusual story about a kid who never seems to make the slightest impression on anybody. Eighth-grader Calvin Schwa, nicknamed "The Schwa," has an amazing talent: he can stand in a crowded room and not be noticed by anyone! When classmate Anthony Bonano meets The Schwa, he devises a scheme to make money from this remarkable ability. But how does The Schwa feel about this? If you enjoy realistic stories, you'll love this funny book about school, friendship, and scientific experiments you never would have thought possible! Best of all, there's a sequel!
This title is also available on compact disc.
